The Republican Senators and those who caucus with the Republicans such as Senator Folder of the 17th Senate District are only part of the problem when it comes to stopping or hindering progressive legislation to be passed and funding coming into our communities, especially the Marginalized communities. We must also look at the republicans and some of the democrats in the New York State Assembly who are corrupt and are controlled by their corporate handlers, which makes them a major problem as well. They are truly republican wolves hiding in progressive clothing.
Rodneyse Bichotte is one of many corrupt politicians that have always chosen the special interests of corporate donors over the interests of the people. Her top donor is the most corrupt of them all and controls her through Pay to Play. This donor who was recently indicted with many others is no other than Husam Ahmad. He was even able to obtain a company by the name of SIMCO and fraudulently used it's status in the State Minority/Woman-Owned Business Enterprise, which Rodneyse Bichotte is the Chair of the Oversight of. No wonder Husam Ahmad and his wife have altogether donated over $16,000 to Rodneyse Bichotte's campaign.
Her corruption has been exposed and she must be stopped.
Article Title: Twenty-One Individuals and Companies Indicted in New York Corruption and Fraud Scheme
"On April 18, 2018, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, New York (DANY), announced a series of indictments against Husam Ahmad. The defendants were charged with corrupting the Government, bribery, bribe receiving, offering false instruments, and engaging in a scheme to defraud.
The indictments are related to a corruption and fraud investigation that impacts the reconstruction of the Kosciuszko Bridge—work funded by the Federal Highway Administration through the New York State (NYS) Department of Transportation—as well as various NYS Metropolitan Transportation Authority subway system projects funded by the Federal Transit Administration.
The indictments also allege that Husam Ahmad, chief executive officer of HAKS, sought to obtain public contracts by gaining control of SIMCO, which was certified to participate in the Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and State Minority/Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) programs. Ahmad allegedly acquired a 45-percent stake in SIMCO but could not claim personal ownership of more than 50 percent without compromising the company’s DBE and MWBE status. He sought to acquire full control of SIMCO by supplying funds to a former HAKS employee, Muhammad Siddiqui, so that Siddiqui could purchase the remaining 55-percent stake. By falsely maintaining the company’s DBE status, SIMCO obtained over $10 million in public contracts that it was not eligible to receive."
Her ties to this corrupt individual is linked to why many Minority/Women Owned Businesses are left to fend for themselves and eventually are shut down. The reason why our Train system is inadequate. The reason why developers have been taking all of the available land, tearing down homes and places of worship in our communities. Rodneyse Bichotte is corrupt and must be removed from her position. She must be voted out on November 6th. The people must vote for a True Progressive and Advocate for the people, which is me, Anthony Beckford.
- It was reported by members of the Democratic National Committee for the Disabled that Rodneyse Bichotte has been cooperating with ICE to help landlords intimidate and illegally evict immigrant tenants and their families out of their homes.
- Assembly Bill A06285 prohibits Preferential Rents because it causes mass displacements of the elderly, disabled individuals and families from their homes. Assembly member Rodneyse Bichotte REFUSES to Co-sponsor the Bill that could save the housing of millions of people.
- Rodneyse Bichotte has received donations from Charles Borrok who is a top rated real estate broker and investor who is aligned with the Real Estate Board of New York and has helped them manipulate and displace thousands of Senior Citizens, disabled individuals and families.
- She has also supported the Real Estate Board of New York's renewal of 421-a house g plan which has been one of the main causes of why thousands of Senior Citizens, Disabled Individuals and Families have lost their homes and will continue to lose their homes.
- Rodneyse Bichotte has accepted funds from Charter Communications which is a K own Union Buster. Charter has attempted to force workers to renounce their union benefits in favor of company health and retirement plans, which members say would weaken their union and leave workers significantly worse off. Rodneyse clearly shows that she is not on the side of workers and the unions, especially those of the IBEW.
- Rodneyse Bichotte has received over $100,000 from Real Estate, Lobbyists, Special Interest Groups and Fraudulent individuals. If Rodneyse Bichotte stays in office, the community will no longer exist and thousands more people will lose their homes and rents will continue to rise higher and higher. The immigrant community of Flatbush and East Flatbush will cease to exist and gentrification will fully take over.
Rodneyse Bichotte is NOT for the people. She is for the corporations and the Rich, while the working class and low income continue to suffer.
On November 6th come out and Vote for ANTHONY BECKFORD to save our homes, to get rid of preferential rents and MCIs, to strengthen the rent laws, to protect the immigrants, to stop police violence, to stop gun violence, to save our healthcare, to save our businesses, to Stop further displacements and to create True Affordable Housing for the working class and low income families and individuals.

New York State Assembly candidate Anthony Beckford's
statement regarding the Trump-like divisiveness of Rodneyse Bichotte
(East Flatbush, Brooklyn)
The New York City Council just recently passed a resolution to designate areas in the community as Little Haiti. This idea was proposed by Assembly member Rodneyse Bichotte and a city council member. This is very problematic and divisive. There should be no divide at all. Our community does not only consist of Haitians. It also consists of Jamaicans, Guyanese, Trinidadians, Bajans,Grenadians and many others. The community was not allowed to weigh in on this. Many Haitians themselves do not agree with the divisiveness that Rodneyse Bichotte has been showing just to form a legacy for herself. We are battling issues that affect every Caribbean culture in our community and she is busy trying to look good for votes by being divisive just like Trump is. And yes, I compared it to Trump. The City Council passed a resolution but it seems like there was no real investigation to see what is really in the declared areas. Church Avenue is Bob Marley Boulevard. Bob Marley is Jamaican. Is Rodneyse Bichotte actually trying to drown out the contributions and hardworking of the other Caribbean cultures on the community? This is what the optics look like and it seems that it is true. Rodneyse Bichotte does not truly care about the Caribbean. Her love for Haiti should be questioned as well, die to her op-ed in Kings County Politics where she stated "Haiti is in the Caribbean, but not of the Caribbean". How dare she take away the validity of Haiti's rightful place in the Caribbean. The city council needs to meet again and dismiss the resolution and pass a resolution that expands the designation of Little Caribbean to celebrate all Caribbean cultures. In the Caribbean, there is a saying that I breathing life back into which is "One People Under the Sun". We can even question Rodneyse Bichotte's support of Hillary Clinton despite the people of Haiti stating that she played a part in destroying the growth of Haiti and stealing the funds that were to be used to help rebuild Haiti. That is a Judas mindset. Rodneyse Bichotte is trying to create a new class level and classism is what this system functions on and how it divides us and oppresses all Black people along with racism. As I work on Unity, Rodneyse Bichotte continues her divisive agenda and seems to be playing off of the heartache, struggles and emotions of the Haitian community. This tactic of Rodneyse Bichotte, will make it hard for the communities of Flatbush and East Flatbush, which are the last strongholds against all out gentrification to fight against rezoning and further displacements. Rodneyese herself does not know how to stop gentrification and one of her Co-supporters of "Little Haiti" has admitted that in a news article and has stated "We want to be sure that we can leave a piece of Haitian Culture when gentrification does take over". That is not a progressive message. That is the language of building a self legacy while abandoning actual protections for the people of the community, especially the Caribbean community. Bichotte has yet to join myself and others in the call to Abolish ICE. I have called for this action to take place since it's creation in 2003. I have been personally affected by their racist predatory policies as many in the community have. Many Haitians, Jamaicans, Trinidadians, Guyanese, Grenadians and many other people within our Caribbean Community are afraid and Bichotte has not pushed to ease that fear or to fight against the threat to at is producing that fear. Bichotte keeps pushing for TPS, which only offers temporary protections. I want to make sure that every single immigrant is protected and safe. I am pushing for all TPS and DACA holders to become permanent residents. I am pushing for there to be a fast track citizenship process for all immigrants. I am pushing to make sure that our Healthcare system and Driver License programs cover not just citizens, but immigrants as well. I am pushing for Caribbean Unity in Flatbush and East Flatbush so that we can Rise Up and win this fight TN against Trump, the GOP and ICE.
Rodneyse Bichotte has proven her true intentions. Street naming is an honorable thing, but divide is disgraceful. It is the colonizing mindset. It is the conditioning that some still carry in them from the colonizers. She needs to re-educate herself on how to fight for the people and get out of the sunken place. I will continue to fight for the people of the district as she keeps trying to become a legend in her own mind. If she cared so much about the Haitian community, she would be doing the things that I've been doing for the Haitian community and the rest of the Caribbean community. Then again, a narcissist can only love themselves more than the people and Rodneyse Bichotte has not shown any actual concern for the community. I helped the community celebrate Caribbean Heritage month throughout the month of June and celebrated the first annual Caribbean Unity Day on June 30th with members of the community and with the Caribbean Unity Alliance. Rodneyse Bichotte was nowhere to be found. Homes are being torn down, gentrification is displacing our community at an alarming rate, landlords are illegally evicting tenants and Trump is separating children and deporting our family members. But instead of focusing on stopping many of these key issues, she figures that she might as well make herself look and feel good while the tears and cries of the people go unnoticed by her. ICE is kidnapping members of the community and she chooses to build a legacy for herself. Well I see the tears and I hear the cries. The demands of the people will be answered when she is voted out on November 6th and myself, Anthony Beckford am voted in. It is time that District 42, which consists of Flatbush, East Flatbush , Midwood and Ditmas Park has an elected official who truly advocates for them, no matter their cultural background. The divisive era of Bichotte or as I call it "The Bichotte Trump Era" is over. We will not allow a GOP member or any Democrat with Conservative or Self Serving agendas to have any position in our communities. #VoteThemOut

Anthony Beckford saw the families being separated and displaced. He saw the lack of opportunities for the youth and the lack of care for the elderly. He saw that no true affordable housing plan was in place for the people and believes that Immigration protections should be permanent, not temporary.
